Orchard Hill partners with Mission India to transform communities in India by planting churches through three proven programs.
Did you know that 1 in every 6 people in the world live in India? Did you also know that less than 3% of the nation knows the Lord? Orchard Hill seeks to support Mission Indian as they seek to holistically better the lives of people in India, empower community members to thrive, and bring the gospel to communities. They do this through three proven programs:
Children’s Bible Clubs
Children’s Bible Clubs introduce children to Jesus through engaging activities, songs, and prayer during either a 10-day or year-long experience. These activities are a great way to bring children together and allow leaders to build relationships with them. Meanwhile, children are introduced to Jesus, and when boys and girls share what they’ve learned at home, their parents are intrigued—and entire families come to know Christ
Adult Literacy Classes
Graduates of the year-long Adult Literacy Classes walk out with holistically-transformed lives. In addition to learning 5th-grade level reading, writing, and math, students are empowered with the knowledge needed to save money and increase income. They learn about healthy eating, good hygiene, and social ills such as devaluing daughters. In addition to being set free from the confines of illiteracy, students hear the hope of the Gospel.
Church Planter Training
Church Planter Training takes students through a mix of in-depth classroom instruction and supervised fieldwork. This takes place on-location, in teams of 10, over the course of one year. Each Church Planter’s goal is to establish strong communities of faith that continue to grow and multiply!
