The disciple’s calling was to “cover himself in the dust of the rabbi’s feet and drink in his every word. In doing so, he became like the rabbi, his master. What would we have seen if we had lived with Jesus day in and day out for three years? Our aim as we follow Jesus is to have his way of life “rub off” on us.
