ARTS CAMP ON THE HILL!
Arts camp on the Hill is a ministry of Orchard Hill Church which started in 2008 with a staff of 85 with around 170 campers. Each year we have watched God bless the program as we have grown to 120 or so volunteer staff and 300-400 campers each summer. It has been an incredible journey as God has allowed us to witness to thousands of kids over the past 17 years. Because our goal has always been to serve our community, we have kept our registration fee to only $10.00 per child while continuing a quality program each summer. We offer a variety of creative and performing art classes each year! Some classes have continued since the very beginning, and others are brand new each year. We love wrapping up our week with a student showcase and tour! It’s a special time for parents to see the projects and performances their children have worked on all week long. Our mission is to offer an amazing experience where students can joyfully and creatively discover their God-given gifts!
ARTS CAMP ON THE HILL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What age children is Arts Camp on the Hill geared toward?
We have two separate camps geared toward the developmental and spiritual needs of each age group.
Our first camp is for children entering 2nd-6th grade. Each child selects two creative or performing art classes that they attend all week long. All grades participate in our fun & crazy opening worship times and Bible groups with their grade levels. We also have a Art Project Tour and Performance on the Thursday of camp from 7:00pm-8:30pm to allow the campers to show off their hard work!
Our second camp is for children entering Kindergarten and 1st grade. Their camp will allow them to enjoy the opening worship on a smaller scale, learn about the Bible story in an age-appropriate way, and work on an art project!
Do I need to register for camp?
Yes! There are two separate registrations based on the grade your child or children are entering in the fall. We have limited space available, so those who register in advance will have a better chance of selecting their favorite classes. We will close registration on May 17th or after we have reached our capacity. To register, click on the green button that corresponds to the grade your child will be entering in the fall.
Is there a cost for Arts Camp?
The cost for Arts Camp and Boot Camp is only $10.00 per child! This cost includes an Arts Camp t-shirt and the materials for all of the projects. We see our camp as a way to bless the families of our community which is why we have kept the cost very minimal! If you are in need of financial assistance to cover the cost of camp, please email us at artscamphelp@orchardhill.org.
Will I need to bring supplies for the craft projects?
Orchard Hill will provide all the supplies needed for projects. If your child is registering for a class that requires a musical instrument, they will have to bring their own with them.
